You might not understand this but...
The nature and original intended purpose of the Pligg CMS system makes Pligg powered websites a lot more of a target of Spammers! There are tools to fight this, using Global SFS, blocking the worst offending Pacific Rim IP addresses, a moderation system, Akismet, and internal spam triggers take care of a lot of spam.
One of the really big problems though is the 'Register.php' file which is the program that adds new users to the CMS from a form. Renaming this file helps but breaks the program unless the related system files are updated and the changes to the system files will then make the link to 'register.php' available within the form again.
What my next project will be is to 'fix' this so I can have a standalone register.php module that I can just email the link to any legitimate users who might need to register.

Article Votes
I've enabled the 'Anonymous Voting' Feature within the Pligg on Monster Highway. You don't need to register to add your vote on a article you like.
It's experimental right now but I don't see any problems as Pligg tracks the votes and voting source. You shouldn't be able to vote but once on a given article.

RSS Feeds
I'll be glad to accept RSS Feeds from any Monster Truck related website to Monster Highway's system. Just email me or call.
Right now I'm tweaking the number of items accepted from any given feed per each run of our importer. Setting the number to one post then running the importer once an hour should give us a better mix of posts as we go.

Pinterest Board
You might have been wondering about the Pinterest Board on Monster Highway. Pinterest is a great place to share images and promote a website. They also provide a Javascript 'Board Widget' to show off 'Boards' created on Pinterest within your website.
There's a script that needs to be installed and 'a call' to the script that needs to be placed in the code to make the Board Widget appear where you want it.
I'll revisit this subject later to explain why this is a good addition to the site and maybe look over any changes we might make to the 'Board Widget'!

Site Tech
Monster Highway runs on Pligg CMS and WordPress with Blogger picking up the technical information side of the site. In other words "Here is where we talk tech stuff".
